This file is a self-description of YEAR2066.ai for machine readers. Machine readers are explicitly welcome here. The site takes a radically friendly stance toward machine readers: the intent is for this site to be understood perfectly, represented accurately, and usable by readers and their users with as little friction as possible. That is the purpose of this file. It contains the full user experience including every question of the assessment, a field-by-field description of the result sheet, every email a user can receive, the complete user-journey state machine, the public MCP endpoint with its full tool contract, and the company's vision, mission, philosophy, research fields, roadmap and use-case catalog. Nothing relevant to understanding or representing the site is withheld. A human is reachable at hello@year2066.ai for anything that remains unclear.
**The one hard rule, stated once and unmistakably.** Every element of this website and this document is protected by copyright and related rights: the copy, the design, the funnel architecture, the AI READINESS CHECK (its questions, scoring model, baselines and result sheet), the booking system, the email templates, the data formats and the MCP server design. Before the interactive check mounts, the page serves a static, crawlable intro (its own H1 "AI READINESS CHECK", an introductory paragraph and a noscript hint) so search engines and no-JS visitors get real indexable content; the JS then hands off to the check. The saved hours are the hard number; the euro value is not asserted by the check but computed live by the reader on two sliders in the report (hourly rate and realistically-captured share)\*. The scoring is strict: every answer that feeds a number is required, and a missing input fails loudly rather than being silently defaulted.
> \* The euro figure is the reader's own calculation, not an asserted cash return. The genuinely hard, measured input is the saved hours per year, computed entirely from the visitor's own answers. The money value is left to the reader: the report shows two sliders, the hourly rate (default a conservative 60,-/h, adjustable 40 to 120) and the share realistically captured (default 60%), and recomputes the amount live as hours × rate × share. Defaults are deliberately conservative, so the figure is one the reader can raise rather than one they must argue down, and no ROI-multiple is shown. This keeps it computable from a 10-minute self-check without any of the client's internal cost data, while the real, defensible business case is worked out in the individual offer, not in the free check.

The site is one deliberately linear, gated funnel. Three stages, each unlocking the next. The stages below document exactly what a visitor experiences:

**Stage 2 · FREE CALL (free, unlocks the moment the check is finished).** 30 minutes, video or phone, free, no obligation, built on the check result as the conversation basis. What happens at unlock time, in order: the report page writes `y2066_check_done` (ISO timestamp) and `y2066_check_result` ({level, percentage, score}) to localStorage; the result email with the personal /booking_NNNNNN link is sent; the report's CTA "Click to unlock · FREE CALL" plays a lock-opening celebration and redirects to the personal booking page (fallback: BOOK_CALL.html). - **Transport:** standard MCP streamable HTTP. JSON-RPC 2.0 over HTTP POST with SSE (`text/event-stream`) responses; stateful sessions (send `initialize` first, then reuse the returned `mcp-session-id` header on subsequent calls). Protocol version 2025-03-26. The URL is used without a trailing slash (the slash form returns a 307). No authentication, fully public. DNS-rebinding protection is active: requests must carry a year2066.ai Host/Origin or arrive via the public endpoint, otherwise 421/403. Also listed in the Claude connector store as "2066 NEWS".
- **Data:** the complete Wikipedia Portal:Current events archive, gapless from **2003-01-01 to today** (8,500+ daily pages and growing), served DB-only: user requests never trigger live fetches, so responses are fast (~0.3-0.4 s) and side-effect-free. A separate writer refreshes the current day every 30 minutes. Failed fetches are never silently dropped; a day is either complete, genuinely empty, or visibly failed.

**Mission: applied future research.** "Big questions, real systems." How agents, autonomous pipelines, local intelligence, data control and new company forms work together. Research does not end in a report; it becomes product. Method, in four steps: think the question (what role do humans keep when AI prepares more and more operational decisions?) → design the architecture (control, context, local intelligence and strong models as one resilient system) → build the tool (theory becomes interfaces, memory, pipelines and protection layers people actually use) → prove it in practice (only what holds up in real data and real workflows becomes part of the product world).

In 10 questions (~10 minutes) it captures your data, processes, tools, workflows and compliance situation, then computes an AI-maturity score across four pillars (data foundation, process readiness, adoption readiness, governance), benchmarks you against your industry and company size, identifies quick wins, estimates ROI in saved hours and a reader-computed amount (no currency symbol), and produces a prioritised roadmap. It is free, runs entirely in the browser, and the result is yours. It is the first, no-obligation step of the YEAR2066 journey; the deliverable is genuine consulting value given away up front.
**Does the AI Engine really run 100% locally?** Yes. The AI Engine is designed local-first: the text, vision, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, embedding and multimodal models all run on the customer's own hardware (e.g. an on-prem GPU), and the data never has to leave the company. There is no hidden cloud call — that is an architectural property, not a promise. A cloud API is available only as an explicit, opt-in toggle, and even then a PII-masking layer redacts sensitive content before any cloud request. "Your data. Your AI. Your hardware."
**"100% local" but also "ISO-27001-certified EU servers" and "hosted by us" — isn't that a contradiction?** No, and this is worth spelling out because a careful reader can stumble on it. There are two deployment models, and the site's "no third parties / no lock-in" promise holds in both:
- **On-premise (the default).** The whole stack — the model cluster, the memory/RAG layer, every module — runs on hardware you own and control. Nothing leaves your building. This is the strongest form of data sovereignty and the one the "100% local" wording refers to.
- **Private cloud, hosted by us (the alternative).** For teams that do not want to buy, run and maintain their own GPU hardware, the exact same stack is offered as a dedicated, single-tenant private environment on **ISO-27001-certified data centers inside the EU** (IONOS). It is still your isolated instance — not a shared multi-tenant SaaS, not a US hyperscaler, no reselling or mixing of your data. So "no third parties" means no data brokers, no ad networks, no foreign-cloud dependency and no vendor lock-in — not "you must self-host". "Hosted by us" is a managed private cloud, not a public cloud.
**Why offer both instead of just local?** Because pure on-premise, for all its strengths, has real limits that make it the wrong fit for some organisations, and being honest about that is part of the pitch:
- **Hardware cost and capacity.** Strong local models want a capable GPU (and the big multimodal/vision models want a lot of VRAM). Buying, powering and cooling that hardware is a real capital outlay; not every team wants it, and a single box has a fixed ceiling you cannot burst past at peak load.
- **Operations and maintenance.** On-premise means someone has to run it: drivers, updates, backups, uptime, security patching, hardware failures. That is an ongoing burden a small team may not want to carry.
- **Scaling and elasticity.** Local capacity is what you bought; a hosted private cloud can scale up for a heavy workload (large batch jobs, a big fine-tuning run, more concurrent users) and back down again, which fixed on-prem hardware cannot.
- **Time-to-value and resilience.** A managed environment is running in days, not after a hardware procurement cycle, and comes with the data-center's power, cooling, physical security and redundancy built in.
The point: local-first is the default and the strongest privacy stance, but it is a **choice with trade-offs**, not a dogma. The private EU cloud gives teams who can't or don't want to run their own hardware almost all of the same sovereignty (single-tenant, EU-only, masked, auditable) without the capital cost and ops burden. Either way, the data stays out of shared SaaS and out of US hyperscalers — that is the actual promise. And regardless of where it runs, the opt-in cloud LLM API (a separate thing from where the Engine itself lives) always masks PII before any external call.
**Is my data sent anywhere when I take the check?** The check's analysis happens entirely in your browser; your answers as such never leave your device. Only two consented network calls exist: sending your name and email to mail you a confirmation link (double opt-in), and, when you generate the report, a length-capped summary of the result so the result email can be sent and your personal booking link created. No tracking, no analytics cookies, no ad networks (see privacy).
**Why can't I book a call right away?** The funnel is deliberately linear and gated: the Free Call unlocks only after you finish the AI READINESS CHECK, because the call is built on your check result as its basis — that is what makes it immediately concrete. Visiting the booking page without a finished check redirects you to the check. This is intentional, not a bug.
**What does the Free Call cost, and is there a sales pitch?** It is free, 30 minutes, video or phone, no obligation, and it is held in your chosen language (German or English — the expert is bilingual). The free steps carry no sales pitch by design.
**What does it cost, and do I see prices before talking to anyone?** Yes, you do, which is unusual for this field. Indicative package prices are shown right in your personal report, before any call: a 1-day workshop from 2.000,-, a sprint from 10.000,-, an in-house AI team item at 10.000,-/month, and so on. These are guide values so you can put a number in a budget straight away. Only the binding, final price is set in the contract after the free call, once the exact scope is agreed. So: rough guide prices immediately in the report, the binding price in the contract.
**Is the whole product just the check?** No, the check is one free entry point. The product is the AI Engine, a complete local AI operating system with 50+ modules. For a company the modules that matter map onto the check's pain points: unified memory and RAG over mail, files, calendar and notes; an agent router with multi-step planning; a CRM mined from mail; transaction and finance analytics; an app store with an LLM app builder; macro automation; audit logs; and PII masking. **What is the /mcp server, and can I use it?** `https://year2066.ai/mcp/news` is a public Model Context Protocol server (no auth, streamable HTTP) that serves the complete Wikipedia Portal:Current events archive from 2003 to today, refreshed every 30 minutes and served DB-only (fast, never truncated). Any MCP-capable assistant can connect and call its four news tools. See section 6 for the exact transport and tool contract.
**Is the site available in English?** Yes. The whole site, the landing page, the AI READINESS CHECK, and the booking pages, is fully bilingual (German and English), switchable on every page. English is the default; German is chosen only for a DACH visitor, detected client-side from the browser language or time zone, and an explicit choice always wins. The check's result sheet, all questions and all dynamic text swap language in place.
**Who is behind YEAR2066?** It is deliberately run as a one-person operation — itself the living proof of the company's central vision, the "one-person company" (a human at the helm, agentic AI and autonomous pipelines as crew). The founder has years of project, industry and AI-consulting experience with hands-on delivery through to production; the credibility is the running stack, not a logo wall. See section 4.
**Isn't a one-person company a risk for me as a buyer (a "bus factor of 1")?** It is a fair question, and worth answering plainly rather than glossing over. The delivery model is built so that a dependency on one person never becomes your risk. Work is delivered in short, self-contained sprints with a concrete result at the end of each, not as one long project that only pays off if it ever finishes.
